Senior Housing vs Assisted Living

Ralph Dyer died in a fire at Bel Air Senior Apartments on November 27, 2008. Although the facility claimed to be a senior housing complex, it was  established to be far more.  It is an  assisted living facility providing care to vulnerable adults without a license.

No sprinklers or fire suppression systems existed in the facility.

Persons placing loved ones in facilities need to look at more than labels or signs on the door.
