The National Coalition for Nursing Home Reform in Washington sent out card this week encouraging people to visit with nursing home residents. The card states that “60% of residents in long-term care facilities have no visitors besides their ombudsman.”
While visiting a resident we do not know may seem awkward (and it would be), contributing to organizations such as Citizens for Better Care is a way to ensure visits by people who do know what they are doing and who care about every nursing home resident in Michigan.
