There is an erroneous public perception that malpractice cases are rampant and that doctors and hospitals are continuously sued. This is 100% false. The public acts on a tiny percentage of actionable malpractice. We look at a fair number of cases. We, like most firms that specialize in medical negligence issues, reject most cases because we do not believe that we can successfully pursue the case. In a large percentage of those cases that we reject, the reason is our inability to prove proximate cause, i.e. a connection between what was allegedly done wrong and the injury. We are grateful to everyone who gives us an opportunity to represent them. In many cases, it is simply not possible for us to do that.
