Blog: Wheel Chair Safety in Vans: Buckle Up and Lock It In

Many nursing home residents are transported in vans to doctor’s appointments and other places. Locking the wheelchair and assuring the seat belt is in place is vital to resident safety. We recently obtained a $125,000 judgment for a 90 plus year old client who shoulder was broken when the driver of her nursing home’s van slammed on his brakes and she was not restrained.
