New bill increasing liability protections for care workers draws criticism

Donna MacKenzie was quoted last week in the Detroit News about the legislation headed to Governor Whitmer’s desk that  would increase liability protections for more health care workers and facilities that lawmakers said faced unprecedented challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.  “What this new bill does is it not only gives immunity, but it gives it until January of 2021, which is totally unnecessary,” Donna MacKenzie of Olsman MacKenzie Peacock and Wallace said. “It’s incredibly broad immunity.”  Read more at: http://ow.ly/fHYa30r0vJW
